Grounded in attachment-based and trauma-informed care, this approach recognizes that healing happens within safe, supportive relationships.
Child & Teen Therapy
Child and teen therapy provides a warm, supportive, and developmentally appropriate space where young people can feel safe, understood, and valued. We work with children and adolescents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation concerns, behavioral changes, school stress, life transitions, and living with diabetes and chronic illness.
Individual Therapy for Adults
We support adults navigating anxiety, trauma and attachment wounds, developmental trauma, stress and burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and chronic health conditions, including diabetes. Our therapists draw from integrative, evidence-based approaches—including somatic and body-based work—to help clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change

SE Personal Education Sessions
At Connected Roots Therapy, Sara provides Somatic Experiencing Personal Education Sessions for Somatic Experiencing students working towards their certification requirements, at the Beginning Level. During SE Personal Education sessions, Sara strives to create a safe space where you feel supported to increase your nervous system capacity, and to integrate your SE skills into both your own life and your therapy practice. We will practice SE skills learned in the Beginning level classroom and engage in discussion about what skills were used and why during sessions.

At Connected Roots we strongly believe in parent/caregiver’s participation in therapy. The extent of this participation will vary depending on your child/youth’s needs and preferences, as well as age. We will sort this out together with your child/youth at the start of service. Sometimes, we may have parent/caregiver check in at end of session, or be there for parts of the session. What is shared with you will be based on your child/youth’s consent. For virtual sessions, we ask that a parent/caregiver is home during sessions, even if not part of the session.
